Aout’s Grace offers a range of cruelty free, vegan cosmetics for a cause. The cause we support is Sickle Cell Intervention a non-profit organization that provides awareness and support for people living with Sickle Cell Disease (SCD).

What Is Sickle Cell Disease?

Sickle Cell Disease (SCD) is a chronic anemia characterized by the distortion of red blood cells. It is a genetic disorder that is passed on by both parents. People with Sickle Cell Disease experience chronic pain, tiredness and swelling in various parts of the body. It can also cause further complications such as infections, organ failure and death. As part of our effort to support survivors with Sickle Cell Disease, our founder, Augusta Elizabeth Koroma started a campaign collecting teddy bears for children with Sickle Cell Disease in Sierra Leone.

During a conference in Barcelona this month, the Director of Illingsworth Research U.K. has kindly pledged to donate some Miss Illingsworth Teddy Bears to for children in our program. We are ever so grateful for their generous support!
